POTP: Wildfires in Idaho

Idaho Pugs,Mr. Bailey, Hazel and Mabel,

and their peeps Linda and Stan are asking for our

prayers and thoughts.  Their daughter and her family have wildfires in their area of Idaho.  We pasted their post below..
you may leave purrs and thoughts on the POTP or here

Prayers for My Daughters Family

Fires started yesterday where our Daughter lives
in Orofino, ID and surrounding areas.

visiting in June

Thankfully last night the winds were going in the opposite direction of their home but they are without power

Our Grandson's summer job is with the
Clearwater Forest Protection Agency so he is out
there helping fight the fire.

I did hear from my daughter this morning
The wind has stopped for now, still no power
Austin was home at 2 am for some rest and
back out at 8 am

Please keep them and their neighbors in your prayers

Thank you friends

Linda & Stan
Bailey, Hazel & Mabel

  5. Thank you everyone for thoughts and prayers. Talked to my daughter a short time ago. No estimate on when power may be restored, being on a well they have no water either. Winds have shifted their way, they are getting smoke and ashes. All the POTP is soo appreciated

  9. We've been through a couple of these ourselves. The first was the Oakland Hills fire-although we were separated by the San Francisco Bay, the smoke and debris made breathing difficult. The second was here in Arizona. One might think that there's nothing to burn in the desert, but there is. We saw the flames from our house and were worried. We hope all are safe and you and yours get through it as safely as we did.

  10. Well, you knows we live here in California where there are fires all up and down the state...luckily, there are none in our immediate area (knock on wood...), so we know how scary these wildfires can be! There was a wildfire just up the hills here a few years ago, and although there are a lot of city scapes between us and the fire, the sight, sounds, and smells were terrible. The smoke is the worse. I will keep my paws crossed real tight for your family, and double paw cross for your Grandson! Tell him Thank You! We know what a freakishly hard job that is..
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  11. Like Ruby we also live near wildfire effected areas, but are lucky enough to have mountains that keep the fires from getting too close! Very scary stuff!! We are sending lots and lots of prayers!!

  16. Lots of prayers and POTP coming to Idaho.....those wildfires are just awful and so many places are having them this summer - it's just so scary. Here's hoping their home and the pups and their brave firefighting son are SAFE and the fires will be out ASAP.

    Hugs, Sammy

  19. Prayers are coming your way. Those fires are horrible. We feel so bad for anyone who is in harm's way. It would be horrible to lose everything you have to a forest fire. Our thoughts and prayers will be going hot and heavy until this ends.
