Abby

The Amazing Abby over at "Another Tequila Sunrise" needs some POTP today.  Her mom posted on Facebook: 

If you have a few moments, please send some warm fuzzies through the ether to Abby; she's going in for a 'lumpectomy' - she's having a mast cell tumor removed. I'm sure she's going to be fine, but she (and I) could use a few spare warm fuzzies if you've got them! I'll keep you posted on her progress.

Update: I talked to the vet a while ago, and the surgery went well; the surgery site is pretty big because she wanted to make sure she got clean margins, but the good news is that the growth was pretty much limited to the skin, so we really did catch it early.   Now we just have two weeks of trying to keep her from being too active....  Needless to say, there will be sedatives involved!  ;-)  Thanks again for all the good wishes!

Scribbles

Some of you may recall the post on May 19th that Casey's brother Scribbles had a lump removed and that it was being sent off for testing.  We are sad to report that it came back and was verified to be cancer.  The words "invasive" and "aggressive" were used.  Please send POTP to Scribbles and his family as they deal with this devastating news and decide the best path for his treatment.

GOOD NEWS...... Miss Sarah (Mona Prissy and Sammie Jean's Mom)   is ..... OUT of the Hospital.... and staying with her SISTER fur SEVERAL Days.....    BUTT WAIT....  there's MORE.....  the test results came back and there is NO  "C".           Isn't THAT fabulous?

Update on Sarah: Mona, Prissy and Sammie Jean's Mom!!!

Sarah's sister reported this morning  Sarah is out if ICU.   She's in a lot of pain and doesn't feel like talking or having visitors.  The doctors say she is doing well.   They got her out of bed yesterday for 2 hours.

Please keep the purrs and prayers coming they are POWERFUL

Hi Lana,

I just got a phone call from Pam, Sarah's sister.   The surgery went very well.   The doctor doesn't think she will need chemo.   The colon was resectioned where they removed the mass.  Her blood count is a little low so they are keeping her in ICU over night.  

I'll send reports as I get them.   Thanks.

Dear Friends,

today Goose, our beloved friend, brother and Chaplain of Blogville had to go to the Rainbow Bridge.

He turned 15 on Valentinesday this year and I bet you all remember how we celebrated his birthday together...

...and  Goose sent a gift to all his party guests, to say thank you for coming and to invite us all to SEE BEAUTIFUL  with him.

I always will see beautiful things, because you were there to show me the beauty of life and the beauty of love...and we all will enjoy every moment we were together with you...

Nin Update

Thank you so much to everyone for their POTP, it helps to know you have people in your corner.

I spoke to our vet today. He said that Nin is having some sort of 
neurological event. We are all in agreement that given his age, there is nothing to do. As the episodes are short lived and far apart at this time,  we are taking a wait and see approach. He assures us Nin is not suffering 
pain. He hopes one of the episodes will take him to the bridge.

Thanks again everyone. We will keep you posted.

NIN

POTP as Nin (Hailey & Phod) prepares to cross the bridge.  From their blog:

We could use a little POTP in our house. Ancient Cat Nin's death is approaching. This week has not been a good one. He has starting having "spells" that knock him over and leave him temporarily unable to walk. Please send good vibes that he goes peacefully. He has lived a great life (he is almost 20 after all). We are assessing the situation very closely and are preparing for our final goodbyes.

When Bert came back home I asked him why he ate a rock.  He really could not give me an answer other than it was big and round and he may have thought it was a ball. 

So my friends please send my Buddy Bert all the POTP you can.  On Thursday morning he will have surgery to remove the rock and pebbles.  Dr. Eddie and Miss Vickie say he will be just fine.  After all this is not Bert's first rodeo.  He has had two or three other surgeries to remove rocks AND once a tennis ball (this is the reason you will never see my MOM throw a tennis ball for Bert).  I am sure that Doc Eddie and Miss Vickie are right, he will be fine.  But POTP can only help.

One other thing, on Sunday is Bert's 7th birthday.  In addition Miss Vickie is leaving on the 13th for a vacation.  I told her that I would do my very best to keep an eye on Bert and make sure he does EVERYTHING Dr. Eddie says.  Believe me he will not be eating any more rocks on my watch.

Taffy's G-ma

Many of you know Stanley's girlfriend Taffy (her angel sister Twix) and her mom Theresa.  They haven't been around Blogville too much lately but they are long time bloggers.  Taffy's human grandma, Theresa's mom, has been battling cancer again (Leukemia).  She went into remission a short time ago but now it has returned.  She is in the hospital and they are trying to figure out exactly what is going on (she is having breathing difficulties).

Please send her POTP for Taffy's G-ma and for comfort for Taffy's mom and her family.

Lily

Our furend Lily is in the ER with a possible back injury.  Edward's Facebook post said:


I am so sad my Lily stayed at the hospital. She was crying in pain. Doc said they will monitor her and give her pain drugs. We will call them in a few hours. It might be her left leg or back. My Lily already had 3 surgeries. Please send her good vibes. Thank you friends!

We all know how she has worked so hard to heal her back so please hold her (and her mom) up with POTP!
