POTP for the Furmily of Princess Leah

Dear Friends,

after Leah and their furmily had to stand so much sad things, they have to bear another loss in their furmily. Their Aunty Peggy passed away on Christmas Day...
We are so sorry for Leah and her parents, that year hit them so hard...

The mama of Leah told us that they will do a little blog break, that is sure no bad idea... who can blog about funny things when your heart is full of sorrows and grief...

We just want to inform you all (with permission of Princess Leah). Leah  thinks about you all and you are in her heart and her mind when we welcome the New Year what hopefully brings  good things to Leah and to all of us...
It's much darker when a light goes out
than it would have been
if it had never shone.

I thank Ann from Zoolarty for providing the beautiful picture and link below

Sarah fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She had not blogged in several years, due to her illness. You can leave condolences or memories at this site. I didn't know Sarah very long before she became ill. I do remember
how much she enjoyed Christmas. She made many happy Christmas slide shows for bloggers including all who sent her photos.

RIP Tommy

With a super heavy heart we read the post today about Tommy... he sadly lost the fight ....
But he has a place in our hearts and in our memories forever and ever...
Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.

POTP FOR TOMMY

Today we read the sad post N°1 from The Poupounette blog wrote about Tommy...

"Last night, there was something  about Tommy that had me deeply worried. Not one single obvious thing but a collection of small things that made by blood run cold in my veins. This morning, we set out at 7:30 in the dark, rain and wind to get to the vet's  for opening time. I did not want to wait and call, and perhaps be told there were no slots until later.

The vet saw him, palpated him all over, and did a blood test. When the blood test results came in, all normal except for a slightly reduced red blood cell count, indicating anemia, she decided to do an utlra-sound. She already had her suspicons and they were confirmed. Tommy has a fast-growing angio-sarcoma, also known as hemangiosarcoma, in his spleen. The prognosis is appalling. Although surgery is an option, the survival rate beyond a few weeks is virtually non-existent and the surgery itself imposes a heavy burden on already weakened dogs.

According to Dr. C, whom I trust absolutely, Tommy probably only has a few days left. He got a hefty shot of cortisone, and I have more pills to give him from tomorrow. The idea is to make him as comfortable as possible for this short period. Even though it is Christmas, Dr. C has told me to call her tomorrow morning for a progress report, to see if the cortisone is helping, and she has given me her private cellphone number, if and when, things get to the point of no return."

We are so sad for this bad news...please send some POTP to Tommy and his #1 and his fursiblings....

POTP for Kim Brooks the Beaglz Ladiez Mom

Linda/Da Weenies of Florida saw this on FaceBook
This is all we know Please send Kim Some POTP

Update & prayer request please - Well it looks like it is happening AGAIN!(please excuse any spelling errors - vision is almost squat) Saw cornea specialist today who found epithelial defects(skin tear of the cornea basically) in 2 different locations of the right cornea - only eye with vision-

along with a highly suspicious area that looks like a fungal infection - I will start treatment for this later today. I'm not totally sure what happens the first day or two but I do know that between the infection and that eye drop my vision will get worse than it is now. When all is healed'stable then I will have another cornea transplant.
Now is REALLY NOT a good time for this - have last minute shopping to do. Thank you to Cindy Brooks who is helping me a lot to get cards mailed along with two packages for the Blogville gift exchange.
I was wondering if someone could say something on their blog as to my absence? I am still hoping to do a brief post but not sure that will happen. I would also greatly appreciate any prayers - here and in Blogville. Did I say not sure when I will be back - well, at this time I'm not.

By the way - my Ladiez are doing fine-

Lucky from Marg's Animals OTRB

Nine years ago he wandered into the yard at Marg's Animals, what a "lucky" day for him, and so he became LUCKY.
Then, he was messy, beaten, cut ... but in the years since, though learning this loving boy was deaf and unable to
fend against others, he became an indoor cat for the most of the time. Safe and happy. But then the time came for
LUCKY to catch a rainbow ... farewell dear boy, heaven will be music to your ears!

Hazel from Idaho Pugs needs POTP

Posted: 15 Nov 2018 01:19 PM PST
Took our sweet Hazel to the dogtor this afternoon
Tues evening she had a bad spell of a wheezing cough.
I had just given her a treat so we thought maybe it tried to go down the wrong pipe. I gave her an extra dose of her trachea medicine and it seemed to help.
When the cough was still present this morning I made an appt.  Our vet found that Hazel has fluid in her chest.
She also found a lump inside Hazel's mouth.
Hazel got an injection and we were sent home with a week of lasix and amoxicillin.
We go back in 6 days unless there is no improvement or she gets worse.

Would appreciate any prayers and POTP

Thank you friends

love
Mom, Dad, Hazel and Mabel

Sally OTRB

Sally crossed over today. She had cancer and had quit eating and drinking over the last day. She lived longer than her three brothers, Smokey, Reno and Obi and she never took all of the medications that those three boys endured over the years. We will miss her around here. She was finally sitting on my legs once I brought out the plush blanket a couple of weeks ago. She would only sit on me with the plush blanket in place. Sally ~ from FORTY PAWS, May 2002 to October 28, 2018.

GOOD BYE DOC

A lot of you probably saw the sad message at Facebook....
Doc, the beloved pup of Fozziemon had to go to the rainbow bridge yesterday...

There is sacredness in tears, they are
not the mark of weakness, but of power.
They speak more eloquently than
ten thousand tongues.
They are the messengers of overwhelming grief,
of deep contrition
and of unspeakable love...

Ruby from Cole Haus Cats has gone OTRB

We lost our Ruby August 14. We knew it was coming, but thought it might be later in the year. She had lost weight since June, was depressed over the loss of friend and fellow senior girl Sunny, which we lost exactly 1 month ago today, and had stopped eating last week. No amount of appetite stimulant, syringe feeding, extra attention, stern warnings, begging or crying helped and she grew thinner and lethargic. At 3 in the morning, I woke to her licking my hand, something she has never done, and a sense she was telling me her time was coming. We snuggled for two hours then, and 2 hours later before her vet appointment to help her cross that Bridge to find the safe, warm Summerlands beyond.  Thank you for all your good vibes, prayers and hugs thus far. I have to believe we'll be out of these deep, dark woods sometime soon.

Please click here http://www.colehauscats.com/ to visit her blog and read her loving mom's tribute to her, today August 15, 2018

No matter the day, it is always too soon.

I never caused any  trouble, didn't ever try to eat their food, and was always so social when we had company ... thanks for all the purrs and prayers and well wishes. You have all been the best friends for the past 14 years!
