POTP for Jessie the Boxer Girl

Casey and his Momma would like to ask for our POTP for Jessie.  

Jessie is a fun loving girl and had such fun at our Park event she was 

Dreaming of being Mary Poppins...look at that smile

We'd also like to ask for a little Power of the Paw. I went to the dogtor this week to have more blood stolen so we could see how my camel treatments are working. Momma was a little concerned because they don't seem to be making me feel any better, and I actually lose my appetite for a day or two after the treatments. Unfortunately, the blood tests don't show much of an improvement, and the dogtor isn't really sure what to do. So we're going to go back to visit the specialist who diagnosed me in the furst place to get another view of how my kidneys are working and see if he has any more suggestions. If you could keep your paws crossed for me, Momma and I would appreciate it.

Rumpydog says Goodbye

It was just last month (March) that we told you about Rumpydog and his mom Jen - 

Rumpy had been diagnosed with cancer.  They have fought the good fight but soon Rumpy would tire of his struggle. 

 Today on their blog -

he bids a fond farewell to all of us as he told Jen it was his time to go.

POTP for Flynn

Mom wrote to Flynn's Mom, Ms. Jackie, to check on how she was doing.

She goes back for a CT scan on 4/28 to see if the medication is shrinking her tumors.  

She also wrote the below about Flynn.

We have just got back from the vet. Luckily Dr. Mark was on call so we were able to see him out of hours. Flynn has gone downhill a lot the past week and we have about come to the end of what we can do for him. Mark gave him a Rimadyl injection which is a painkiller to see if it will help him. He is hardly eating anything and has lost one pound in the last 7 days. .

If the Rimadyl works and he seems more comfortable in the next 24 hours we can continue to give it in pill form. We really thought he would be joining Eric today, but Mark has given us hope that he can stay with us for a while yet. The next 48 hours will tell so please keep him in your thoughts.

Flynn just turned 17 on 4/8....we all know he is a fighter.

To Dory and her Family with love....

Always and forever remember.....

The below is from Dory's Mama Saturday morning April 8th:

We wanted to let you know Dory has been going downhill for the past 2 days. We took her to the vet on Thursday where they aspirated almost a liter of liquid from her abdomen and gave us new heart meds. She hadn’t been eating well when we took her, and the vet thought she would get her back to eating after draining the liquid from her tummy. To our dismay, with the exception of a few bites of chicken on Friday morning, she isn’t interested in food at all. Not even Zukes or Greenies. We even tried an appetite simulator yesterday afternoon with no results.  


Late Saturday afternoon Beth emailed me that it was clear that Dory had tried her best but she was too tired to fight any more.  Saturday night they spent the evening  surrounding Dory with LOVE.

Today April 9, at 9:30 am PST, Ed and I will be with Dory to help her make her journey across the Rainbow Bridge.

Beth will have a Good Bye Post in honor of Dory
