This is a portion of what Dakota's mom wrote on her facebook
page on July 10th. Click the link below to read a most beautiful tribute to
My (our) heart dog, our smiley, sensitive, loving, silly, brilliant and oh so handsome Dakota left us yesterday to join his brother Cody who he was grieving terribly. Many of you knew Dakota had a tumor on his heart (beyond cruel for a dog with such a loving heart) and we feel Cody’s passing accelerated his cancer. Dakota transitioned peacefully, with dignity and was surrounded by love with me, Lenny our special Veterinarian, and the sweetest Vet Tech ever. I am grateful that for the month since he was diagnosed I was able to hold that face and kiss him, love him and I thanked him daily for being such an incredible dog.
Devoted brother
Always remembered for his loving nature
Kind K9
Only physically gone, his spirit lives on
Truly a friend to all creatures great and small
A blessing to have loved him

ReplyDeleteThough I knew them not, their names were seen all over Blogville and will be sorely missed... YAM xx
our hearts are so heavy... he will be our friend for ever and ever... like his name says...
ReplyDeleteWe've been there. They only have so much time with us, we know that going in. When Kyla went, we rescued one of her kind. Not only would Kyla approve and feel honored, Kali has been wonderful.
