Please remember Deb in your thoughts and prayers. She and her family have been through alot this past year. Deb has been away from Blogville lately because she took on a second job. And now fate has taken another slug at her . . . she has pneumonia! For anyone who has ever had pneumonia, you know how it can quickly knock you down!
Deb is not used to putting herself first and I would be willing to bet she is not doing everything she must do to combat this dangerous illness. Please pray for her wellness as well as that she follows doctors orders!

Lady Shasta's Mom Kim - Update 12/26/16
Latest Update as of December 26th: Kim was finally moved out of Critical Care tonight around 8:00. She is
back on the cardiac floor and on a regular diet. She's anxious to get home
with Shasta so she is being a star patient. Her surgeon is especially
happy with her progress.
Again thanks from me (her sister) and Kim for your prayers and kind thoughts. She plans
to be back online soon.
If you want to send emails through the hospital website, she's in room 764
at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
Kim was up in the recliner this morning in ICU and watching tv. She had
some orange juice and jello also. Tomorrow they plan to move her back to
the cardiac floor for a few days. The doctor is very happy with her
progress.

Newest Update as of 12-23-16 early morning: Kim is in pre-op. They should be taking her to surgery in about 30 minutes. After she's done they will take her to ICU. We appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers.
UPDATE as of 12-20-16: Kim found out today she can receive emails through the hospital website stormontvail.org. Go to patient services, email, and type her name in the 'name box, Kimberly Brooks, type her room number, 782 in the 'room number' box, and then type your message. Patient services will print the emails and deliver them to Kim.
She does need the aortic valve replaced and should know more tomorrow. The heart cath showed the arteries are good, no blockages. They got her up today to do a little walking and she's had phone calls from our pastor and a friend, so her spirits are up a little. She just wants things to get done so she can get home with Shasta and get on with life.
She and I thank you for all the prayers, kind and encouraging words, and potp.
Cindy
We received a message from Kim that she is in Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Ks. She's going to have a heart catherization tomorrow and depending on the results will have surgery to replace a heart valve. She's not able to check email at this time.
Leave any messages on her Facebook page and her sister will show or read them to her.
Also, Agnes with Doxies with Moxie knows what's going on.
She thanks everyone in advance for prayers.

Bhu has crossed the Bridge..
We have just heard from Ann at Zoolatry that BHU crossed over to the Bridge today at age 19. Bhu fought very hard to stay with us. Ann has know Bhu and family for 10 years. She asked if we could please write a post to let you know of his passing.
Mom and I are sorry to say we did not know him; however, we do know cats.
We'll pay tribute to his constant supervision of all things in the house.
To those who do not know the feline nature. Trust us when we say
they love in their own way. First and foremost with the slow blink of their eyes
they say, "I love you and I trust you". Their gentle purrs comfort their family.
They are the ultimate 'biscuit' maker slow but surely kneading on your lap because they find
comfort doing that BUT only to those they love.
So Dear Bhu...you lived and loved for 19 years and taught many lessons.
Run free sweet friend, may sun always warm your furs and butter flies tickle your nose.
Many are waiting to give you gentle hugs over the rainbow bridge.
Zoolatry this is a beautiful button...
Bluest eyes
Handsome furry friend
Unconditional love to your family

Sammy's Farewell Come Fly with Me
Dear friends today Sammy, ONE LOVED AND SPOILED CAT
will be visiting many of you in his hot air balloon. After months
and months of struggling with declining health, our handsome Patriarch Sam,
King of Baconia will land his hot air balloon at the Rainbow Bridge.
Pam and David are so very sad but they also want today to
be a victory and tribute to Sam. You may get to Sam's blog by clicking here
His Mom has written a lovely post they jump in the hot air balloon to
take this journey with Sam
WE LOVE YOU TWO HOURS AND A BUNCH SAM
MADI AND MOM
Ann from Zoolatry wrote this beautiful prayer for Sam
Now I lay me down to sleep,
angels near to guide my feet.
I'm not afraid, I do not fear,
I'm not afraid, I do not fear,
my life's been good while I was here.
It is time to leave, to cross my bridge,
to reach toward my rainbow ...
When I come to heaven's door,
I'll see the friends smiling who went before.
Waiting to welcome me home again.
Where I began, where I now end.
So I will now leave, I will cross my bridge,
yes ~ I see my rainbow ...
Farewell.
