POTP for BEAU

Today, Kismet, Kyla's parrot, sent a special POTP request. I've learnt that

BEAU, the Golden Retriever at Golden Pines

had to go to the rainbow bridge.

Kismet wrote, that this blog needs a special mention and while reading this blog, I totally agreed.
Here is what the blogowner, Kim, wrote about this blog:

" In 2007 my dream of living in the country and sharing it with senior Golden Retrievers came true when we moved to a small town in Northern Virginia into a home that would become 'Golden Pines.' Our lives are now filled with more rescued Golden Retrievers than I'll admit to, a Wheaten Terrier, a lively little Scottie and a very tolerant cat. This blog chronicles snippets of a life in the country that has truly 'gone to the dogs!'"

I've tried to describe what I felt while reading about the senior dogs who found a home at  Golden Pines, but honestly there are no words to describe what this people do for dogs....

I bow my head to honor the people and pets at Golden Pines and I say THANK YOU in the name of all dogs and in the name of all people who love dogs...

I lit a candle for you, Beau and for all friends on the other side of the bridge and I hope you will see it and you know that no one is forgotten.

  5. It seems the only time we ever get to visit any more is when there is a loss at Golden Pines. Even though the dogs are senior and they aren't generally there too long, we know each loss is painful for them, so we admire their love and courage in taking in senior dogs.
