Encouraging update on Shelly: Da Weenies human sister
Linda, John and the entire Pack thank you for all your POTPs they are surely working. Please continue. Below is an update copied from an email we rec'd today.
Shelly
We are cautiously optimistic on Shelly's condition. Her blood has been stable for 3 days where she hasn't needed a transfusion. Her kidneys are working again. Her heart rate and blood pressure are good. And she's talking now. In fact on Sunday while we were there, she was actually Yelling at me to get her out of that hospital room. (She was very serious and near tears). Of course she can't be moved because she's too weak to even sit up but they've started her on daily physical therapy. She still has her feeding tube and isn't able to swallow regular food yet. Shelly is getting so antsy now and really wants company. The nurse even had to help her call us last night on the phone because she was feeling lonely.
UPDATE: Bailey oldest pack Member at DaWeenies.
DEAR FRIENDS I DON'T KNOW ANY DETAILS BUT I WANTED YOU ALL TO KNOW WE JUST LEARNED DEAR SWEET BAILEY WENT TO THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
THIS AFTERNOON. LINDA WILL POST MORE LATER....RUN FREE AS THE WIND BAILEY
Bailey: oldest pack Member at DaWeenies.
I'm also very worried about Bailey. She's spending the day at the vet's again today for another evaluation. The antibiotics just aren't clearing up the intestinal infection and she's getting so skinny and weak. On Saturday we started force-feeding her a special food which she is taking without a fight. But she won't try to eat anything on her own. As weak as she is, she still gets up by herself in the middle of the night and manages to get herself down 3 stairs and out to the doggie door to go outside, bless her heart.
We didn't know this until today but Bailey used to live with Shelly.
