POTP to citizens of France

We just heard about the horrific, barbaric
attack and the deaths at the newspaper in France.

  1. Madi that was nice to write a POTP-post for my country. Let's hope that it not ends in a riot where more people get hurt or lose their life. We are still shocked that it happened, we thought we were safe, but that was an error, the evil is sadly everywhere. We cross our paws and I bow my head to honor those who lost their life today.

    1. Easy we too are terribly sad..we saw before we went to bed last light that darkness has visited your free country..we send our love and share your pain..Love Fozziemum xx

    2. Crikey Easy ...... me too!!! We are with you, mate, with crossed paws and heads bowed. Huuuuuuugs!!!

  2. Our world is not very large and the oceans that often separate us grow smaller. We are all members of the human race and all citizens of this planet. We all love, hurt, and cry. Violence that happens in one part of the world used to be seen as something occurring as far away as another planet. But that is no longer the case. Having traveled to Europe shortly after the September 11th attacks in this country, I was touched and humbled by the outpouring of care and concern shown by those we met. I was embarrassed to wonder if the tables were turned if I would be as thoughtful and kind.

Now I sit here in my safe little home and hear reports about the attack in Paris. Paris, such a long ways away from here. And yet not very long. I have touched those streets and breathed the air. I have seen, spoken to, and touched the very people who were attacked. And even if I hadn't, it is possible that not many days would pass before we might encounter one another. W\

We are all brothers and sisters. Even if we speak different languages we are forever bound together by our humanity. So when you viciously attack and kill one of my brothers and sisters, then you have done the same to me.

My heart goes out to those who were directly affected by this attack. I pray that you will be comforted. For those who were harmed emotionally by fear and proximity to the violence, I pray that you will not live in fear but be strengthened by whatever faith you adhere to and the knowledge that there are so many good people in the world.

And finally, I am sorry. I am sorry another act of terrorism has taken place and I am sorry that I know this will not be the last one. Please know that when I turn my light out tonight, thousands of miles away from where you are, I will think of you and hold your welfare in my heart.

  3. THANK YOU fur putting this up. We are horribly SAD for the French People... We have them in our hearts and minds and prayers.

  4. Dear Murphy's Mom
Your comment has touched my heart....I wish all of France could read this.
    Hugs madi and mom

  5. Another country sadly affected with this horror and lunacy..after our own recent shock here n our country..another pointless and incredibly sad event..we send our love and prayers that sanity one day will prevail...freedom is still ours and we must never let anyone take it away, Fozziemum xx

  6. Hari Om
Amen... I had posted my own article today last week - how could it be known that it would be so pertinent. M&S echo my sentiments right here in their wonderful comment. As painful as it is, despite the horror, I pray so very hard that there be moderation in response and unity for peace, rather than revenge. The news articles I am hearing at the moment indicate that indeed this balance may be found. Holding Love in heart.... YAM xx

  7. We will never be able to make any sense of the horrific violence. Our prayers go out to those affected in France and to all the world on this sad day

  8. There is nothing left to say. Everyone else has said what I am feeling so beautifully. Murphy's Mom ...... you brought me to tears as did this terrible event. All we can do is, as Aunty says, hold LOVE in our hearts!! My thoughts and prayers are with all of France today and the days to come.

  9. We are very sad also about this terrible hate filled violence... if only, if only we could have peace.. Just imagine..
I am so sorry for the lands and people who this evil touches.. So sorry.. I love my world..

  10. It is still too early to tell who did it, but violence just gets more violence. Violence is NOT an answer to anything.

  11. Very, very sad news. Our thoughts are with all those in France, a terrible difficult time for them

  12. It is absolutely horrific and my hearts go out to them. My Father was a famous Political Cartoonist for 30 years (Ray Osrin, Google him) and he used to get death threats all of the time. It is beyond my comprehension that anyone could do something like that. Simply horrific.

  13. Such beautiful, heart-felt comments here. We grieve with those in pain. How could we not feel sorrow for those who have lost a loved one or lived through the violence of hatred and terrorism? Thank you for writing this post for Blogville.

  14. This incident is just so horrific, we over here are stunned by the senseless violence of it all.
Our thoughts go to the victims and their loved ones.

  15. God bless the people of France at this difficult time.

  16. We send much love and hope for justice to the people of France........these horrible incidents and crimes taking place across the globe are so senseless and just needs to stop.

  17. Peace to all, hugs and love from WI.
